A Great Day for Affiliates

Affiliate Program Management is sometimes a waiting game. We build programs up to get ready for the big day when affiliates break the credit card. I always preach slow consistent growth month to month or at least growth over this time last year, but I’m also hopeful for that big day. Yesterday was that day for one of my programs. AGiftPersonalized.com launched its affiliate program on ShareASale in 2003 and yesterday they had their biggest day/month in program history. The sales are still pouring in at this minute actually. Technically, the credit card was only broken for a few minutes but the program was never in danger of going offline.

Within the last week, we changed our focus on the program to highlight more individual products at deeper discounts. About 50% of our sales come from deal sites, the other half comes from long standing and trustworthy SEO, niche and datafeed partners. We moved all the deal sites to 10% and started to cut prices. The first deal to catch the attention of affiliates was a smash hit. Twelve different affiliates had more than 700 orders in the last 24 hours. Here is the deal:
